Curriculum
Toddlers
12 months by September 1st
(2, 3, 5 days; child/teacher ratio 4:1)
The Toddler Class allows children to grow and explore in a loving, safe place. Social development is the focus for this age group, and the teachers create opportunities for the children to interact through stories, songs, and games. In the classroom, language and motor skills are developed through sensory and art activities. The Toddlers also participate in Music, Storytelling, and Movement classes.
Twos
24 months by September 1st
(3 & 5 days; child/teacher ratio 5:1)
In the Twos Class, opportunities are provided to develop social and language development through playing, singing, sharing, and taking turns. The teachers create and encourage hands-on activities to promote motor development. Teachers also work with parents to help children master potty training in preparation for the Threes Class. The Twos participate in the same classes as the Toddlers (Music, Storytelling, Movement) with the addition of Chapel on Fridays.
Threes
3 years by September 1st
(3 & 5 days; child/teacher ratio 6:1)
The Threes Class continues to focus on socializing and learning through play while also incorporating academic opportunities to prepare them for Pre-K. Center and Circle Times are an integral part of the program where they learn letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and more. In the classroom, the Threes explore sensory, motor, and hand-on learning activities while also attending Music, Storytelling, Movement, Spanish, STEAM, and Chapel.
Pre-K
4 years by September 1st
(5 days; child/teacher ratio 7:1)
Pre-K uses a mixture of curriculums such as Heggerty Phonics and Learning Without Tears to create a balanced approach to literacy and math. More in-depth visits to the STEAM Lab, Spanish, Music, Movement, and Chapel are an essential part of the program to extend learning.
While this age group has a deeper focus on academics, the teachers continue to love and nurture their students. They also provide opportunities for the class to practice socialization and independence so their students will be confident and ready for the next steps in their school journey.
